VirtuEdge Management Service Private Ltd. [VMS] is a Delhi based management consultancy services company and is mainly engaged in providing accounting, auditing, compliance, outsourcing and management consultancy services, in India and abroad since 2008.
The Company is professionally managed, with team experience of four decades across diverse industries and has now launched an innovative skill development and practice oriented [Edtech] certification courses, to job aspirants at affordable rates. Enrolments are open in October 2021 for the 3 and 6 month courses
The Group includes two management consultant companies, VitalSource Knowledge Associates Pvt Ltd [VKA] established in 2007 and VirtuEdge Management Services Pvt Ltd [VMS] acquired in 2008. VKA started as a captive back-end knowledge process outsourcing [KPO] service provider for a leading middle east public accounting firm – RSM international. CA George Kurian an experienced professional with four decades of domestic and international experience is the Group promoter and the Edtech project initiator. George Varghese, an Engineer and Risk Professional, is a co-promoter of VMS. Currently, VMS is developing industry specific content as part of the Edtech project, for a UK client. The Group also has an associated CA firm, where eligible students can undergo CA article ship training.
Over the past decade, VMS Group has undertaken several overseas projects in internal audit, compliance, skill development and management consultancy services for the middle east office of a globally leading public accounting firm. The present project includes professional services for course content development and implementation support for a Skill Development [Edtech] initiative which will enhance job readiness of students and job aspirants opting for finance careers.
VMS imparts industry specific finance certification courses and on-job training, that can be made available for students as short-term bridge courses involving a combo of E-learning, project participation plus classroom courses either on full time basis, or in tandem with main professional/PG courses. It also offers batches with flexible timing for those who are considering job opportunities in emerging and faster growing industries or job switches to more prospective sectors.
This is an innovative certification course offered as a combination of theory and practical applications, for enhancing student’s conceptual knowledge in finance, compliance and financial management related areas. The industry specific knowledge through extensive use of case studies and live/test projects, will equip the students with problem solving and solution providing skills, considered crucial in industry, finance and tax consulting and in self-employment roles.
Students who are undergraduates and graduates [commerce stream preferred] are eligible for enrolling in the certification courses. Yes, students can pursue this course in tandem with their collegiate or professional courses. The Company’s focus is to impart hands-on training in special skill areas that are more in demand. The Group management is aware that university level academic courses assign high weightage to subject-based knowledge involving theory and students learning approach is mainly with an exam orientation. Consequently, many fresher students assessed, are found deficient in applying the concepts in practical in job and real-life situations.
Our course structure helps students delve deep into technical and practical areas of an industry in a more detailed manner and provides updated knowledge of statutory changes, accounting standards and industry changes, which cannot be expected in university course curriculum. Considering for instance the frequency of statutory changes, keeping academic curriculum updated for latest changes is always a challenge for established academic courses.
The certification course will be completed either as 3 months [full time] or 6 months [part time]. There will be weekend classroom sessions, having regard to students who are doing this course in tandem with other courses and working professionals. Students can also complete the course on the fast track by attending workshops for 8 to 10 days as arranged for corporates or minimum batch sizes as management approves. On completion of the training or in parallel, students are expected to do a project for 2 months which will enhance their confidence and provide on-job simulation, intended to reduce induction training if they take up an entry level finance job.
VMS provides a 3-tier phased methodology to acquire knowledge.
Tier 1: Students will be trained for 3–6 months by finance professionals and practitioners with vast experience across diverse industries. Training includes online session and classroom workshops [currently at Trivandrum and shortly at a Mavelikkara center in Kerala].
Due to the pandemic situation, the batch currently enrolled are now undergoing training mainly through virtual sessions on industry specific areas in context of accounting, taxation, auditing, KPO/BPO, consulting, investment advisory and research content writing.
English communication and soft skills are accorded high priority in the courses, to improve job competency
Tier 2: After the training or in parallel thereto, each student is required to undertake or actively participate in a live project under guidance of a professional mentor. The deliverable will be well presented project report on an industry specific topic or a research paper/thesis.
Such a project can immensely help students to improve their industrial, interpersonal and communication skills, while gaining value-added insights into key policies, systems and processes of any industry elective, from a finance career perspective.
Tier 3: Evaluation tests are conducted periodically and on course completion.
Students are initially provided free career counselling during enrolment, by experienced professionals, to plan or reassess their career goals. This will give students a competitive edge in job interviews, group discussions and written tests in job openings suiting their profile.
A course completion certificate of VMS, highlighting areas of industry training and competency, could help candidates in job prospecting on successful completion of course.
Full-time 3-month certification courses will be available at an introductory offer of Rs.20,000/- including printed course material and/or text books. Longer duration courses covering longer tenures including project mentoring, will be Rs.10,000/- additionally, if availed.
Group discounts, early bird and merit-cum-means discounts, are also offered to eligible candidates, subject to conditions. Tailored workshops of short duration and specific content are planned, including corporate induction training for finance courses in accounting and compliance, including financial education for nonfinance professionals can be considered on case-to-case basis.

On completion of training, project and evaluation tests, VMS certificate will be issued. References may be provided at management discretion, based on specific requests in deserving cases.
VMS will train and assist candidates in tailoring their CVs professionally, attending interviews and Group discussions for posts suiting their qualifications and experience.
For meritorious candidates there are prospects of in-house training or job offers as Research Associate trainees, Assurance trainees, or Consultant Trainees with the Company or other Group entities including an associated CA firm, strictly based on then available vacancies.
VMS team plans to maintain a database of successful candidates and liaise with HR agencies and prospective employers on candidates’ request or to assist in identifying specific job vacancies.
The Company does not guarantee job placements on training completion; however, focus is on developing student competencies to increase job prospects.
No. It is just launched in present comprehensive curriculum and user-friendly format. At present the certification is provided by the company- VitalSource Knowledge Associates Pvt. Ltd or Virtue Edge Management Services Pvt Ltd. Which have been in the consulting industry including education services for past decade. The Group entities have coordinated in conducting courses:
- GST course in affiliation with Mar Ivanios College for M. Com students [2017-18] • On-Job training for students for DDUGKY scheme courses, in association with Malankara Social Service Society [MSSS], Trivandrum [an authorized Central Government Institute] and Yuva Kerala Chetana institute, Kayamkulam during periods 2019-21. • The promoter has authored professional publications for Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and research papers for a state university in the Ukraine. • Similar courses are planned to be tailored to the needs of students in future with accredited educational institutions and students will be encouraged to take up entry level CA or other professional courses for career recognition.
Traditional degrees and professional courses do not cover industry-specific knowledge and practical exposure. But companies expect to have candidates who have a fair knowledge of all aspects of their area of industry. That is why we focus on industry-specific courses which bring the subject knowledge selectively within industry roles. Our courses will be taken by domain experts with experience over two decades in their industry. VMS focuses on providing a finishing school curriculum so that students can contribute to the clients, organizations, or firms they work for, more effectively. -Core team paid trainee offer: At VMS, students are encouraged to take up our learn ‘n earn option in the Core team, generally after successful completion of 3 to 6 months training/probation evaluation. This entitles the student free certification course plus a stipend of Rs.4000-Rs.7000 p.m. during period of internship and assist in company or client projects either in roles of Research associate [content development], Assurance, Compliance, Marketing or Investment advisory.
An initial support as loan or grant for professional course registration or for funding computer wholly or partly is also provided to eligible students.
Eligibility criteria includes good academic grades, pursuing a professional course, experience and merit-cum-means scholarship eligibility. It will be solely granted at management evaluation, on joining course or may be subject to successful completion of training. Students with good academics and who face difficulty in funding future education expenses, are eligible based family monthly income thresholds, which will be certified by a person of good standing. Selection is through interview and aptitude tests.
Higher start may be considered on management discretion.
